Abstract: Hypersonic research has been aimed principally at the development of scram-jets. To develop a scramjet,experimental studies by ground testing are necessary and very important. The paper addresses the hardware and items to be tested for this kind of engine. Emphasis is laid on discussions about the ground-testing simulation problems for both test hardware and test facilities. Proposed subjects to be studied for improving the capability of test facilities and testing technique for hypersonic research are outlined.
