Abstract: Based on PEM model, the burning rate of different propellant formulations under certain range of pressure and AP particle size disturbution is computated and the relationship between the formulation and burning rate is derived.A series of isoburning rate trigonal diagram of AP/A1/HTPB systems has been drawn, from which we can evaluate quickly the burning rate according to formulation of the proplellants. Also, from the diagram, the composition of the propellant can be readily datermined according to the rate value given.
