Abstract: The concept of intelligent transducer and its domestic and overseas developmental tendence are briefly introduced in this paper .The characteristics, the main elements of intelligent transducer and the application in various fields are also discussed.Based on the consideration on the development of transducer, the focuses of the report are.1. It would be more reasonable to have the"Intelligent Transducer" defined in accordance with function than unilateraly with structure.2. The intelligent transducer should be highly integralized, which may be confined either within single chip integratization, or in single-multi mixed style.3. In practise,intelligent transducer usually appear in form of smallized transducer arraies to embady the multidimentioned and multiperformanced features.4. The developing prospect of intelligent transducer is broad.
