Abstract: The effects of simple controlling on wakes of bluff bodies are investigated.The flow stability of wakes of bluff body with a plate inserted in the wake is observed via flow visulization. A plate is installed in the V-shaped bluff to form a flame-holder,of which the characteristics of flow resistance and flame stability are investigated through experiments. The analysis and discussion on the results are presented in this paper.
