Abstract: his paper introduced the so-called mixing coordinate method to treat stress release moving boundary conditions in the grain end to find the solutions to the general stiffness equation via symmetrical treatment. The stress analysis of a certain grain module under accellerating axial load was also performed in the paper and its results were more reliable and proximate to the real values than those find in the literature concerned.
