Abstract: A method for calculating stress stiffness and effective area in a flat circular diaphragm with a hardpan in the center subjected to concentrated or even-distributed load is introduced. The calculation and the experimental results were compared. The validity of the method suggested in the paper is confirmed by the experimental results.
