Design and Experiments of Driving and Control System for MEMS Solid Propellant Micro-Thruster Array

Abstract: In order to implement the accurate and reliable ignition of MEMS (Micro Electro Mechanical Systems) solid propellant micro-thruster array,the ignition driving and control of unit array is particularly important. A driving and control system is designed and the system is composed of four modules including power module,driving module,10×10 MEMS solid propellant micro-thruster array,control and communication module. The designs of these modules are introduced. Through the integrated design,the whole structure of this system was designed and the principle prototype was manufactured. Based on the principle prototype,the electro-explosive testing,ignition testing and impulse testing are carried out. The test results indicate that the driving and control system designed for MEMS solid propellant micro-thruster array performs well. The ignition for one unit or several units can be realized. The ignition success rate is 100% and the reliability of the designed ignition driving and control system is high.

摘要: 为了实现MEMS(Micro Electro Mechanical Systems)固体微推力器阵列准确可靠点火,阵列单元的点火驱动控制显得尤为重要。设计了驱动控制系统,由电源模块、驱动模块、10×10规模固体微推力器阵列模块、控制及通信模块组成,并分别对各个模块的设计进行了介绍。通过把各个模块进行一体化,设计了整机结构,并制备了原理样机。最后对原理样机进行了电爆试验、点火试验以及冲量测试试验,试验表明所设计的驱动控制系统功能完备,能够对阵列单元准确点火以及多单元同时点火,具有很高的可靠性,点火成功率100%。
