Model Test Research on Anti-Cavitation Performance of Twisted Rudder Model

扭曲舵抗空化性能模型试验研究

Abstract: In order to study anti-cavitation performance of twisted rudder,a model test for twisted rudder with a fairing and general rudder cavitation study was performed in cavitation tunnel. Cavitation of the two rudder’ s surface and bottom section was compared. Experimental results show that the twisted rudder’s surface cavitation inception rudder angle increases by 7°~8° at the same speed. Cavitation inception velocity of the twisted rudder’ s fairing increases by over 7kn,and cavitation inception rudder angle increases by 15°.Compared with general rudder,twisted rudder can eliminate the rudder’s cavitation denudation at small rudder angles and high speed;itcan effectively reduce the area of cavitation denudation at big rudder angles and high speed. Therefore,twisted rudder has good anti-cavitation performance and broad applied space in surface ships.

摘要: 为研究扭曲舵的抗空化性能,在空泡水洞中对带导流罩的扭曲舵和常规舵进行空泡观测对比试验,试验中观测了两者的舵面空泡和舵下端面空泡。试验结果表明 :在相同航速工况下,扭曲舵的舵面空化起始舵角提高 7°~8°;扭曲舵下端导流罩的空化起始航速可提高 7kn以上,其空化起始舵角可提高 15°;当水面舰船在高航速小舵角时,扭曲舵可消除舵面的空化剥蚀影响;当水面舰船在高航速大舵角时,扭曲舵可有效降低空化剥蚀的面积。因此,扭曲舵具有良好的抗空化性能,在水面舰船领域具有广泛的应用空间。
